UC cardiologist discusses future care for COVID-19 survivors

As the world approaches the 6-month mark with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, hospitals have begun to organize after-care for survivors of severe COVID-19 even as long-term sequelae are still emerging. Medpage Today spoke with physicians across the nation about their plans for patients.  Richard Becker, MD, director of the UC Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute, was interviewed for the story.  Becker acknowledged that while some hospitals at the forefront of COVID-19 epicenters may be leading the way, others including academic health centers aren’t far behind in their plans.
