CCM Media Production wins 10 'student Emmys' from NATAS Ohio Valley Chapter

Media Production students from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music received 20 nominations in the 2025 Student Production Awards from the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). The nominations span 12 categories from non-fiction and fiction to arts/entertainment and sports.

CCM ranked in top 10 most represented colleges on Broadway

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music has once again been named as one of Playbill’s “Big 10.” Ranked as one of the top star-producing institutions in the nation, CCM was represented by at least 39 alumni performing on Broadway stages during the 2024-25 season according to Playbill's coverage.

Poiesis Quartet wins Grand Prize at Banff International String Quartet Competition

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Alberta, Canada announced the Poiesis Quartet as the grand prize winner of the 15th triennial Banff International String Quartet Competition (BISQC). The CCM graduate student ensemble consists of artist diploma students Sarah Ying Ma (she/they) on violin, Max Ball (he/they) on violin, Jasper de Boor (they/them) on viola and Drew Dansby (he/him) on cello.

‘Caribbean Eye’ film events set for Sept. 4

Nelson Carlo de los Santos Arias, the first Latin American director to receive the Berlin Film Festival Silver Bear for Best Director, will visit campus on Sept. 4 as part of “Caribbean Eye,” a UC film series spotlighting groundbreaking Caribbean cinema.

WATCH: Mini documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of ballet production at CCM

In this new short film created by CCM Recording Productions, viewers can experience an insiders look at the April 2025 production of the whimsical ballet Coppélia. Follow along with CCM students Celeste Lau (BFA Ballet, ’25) and Regina Murphy (BFA Ballet, ’25), who play both Swanhilda and Coppélia, switching roles on different nights of the production.
