University of Cincinnati Digital Technology Solutions is excited to announce that BearcatGPT, the university’s private, secure AI platform, is now available to all UC faculty and staff.

Starting Wednesday, Oct. 29, IT Service Desk standard operating hours will be Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Service Desk will provide on-call support for major IT incidents and emergencies that could significantly impact university-wide services or operations outside standard hours, including weekends and university holidays.

Students, faculty, and staff will not have access to some web-based applications from 6-11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, during a planned IT maintenance window. Many commonly used services including Canvas and Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, Outlook email, etc.) will be available throughout the maintenance window.

The UC Office of Information Security will host paper shred events on Tuesday, October 7 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Catalyst, the university’s student information system, will be unavailable from 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, until 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, during a planned IT maintenance window that coincides with the university’s Fall Reading Days schedule.

Select IT services and systems at the University of Cincinnati will be unavailable for about an hour starting at 11 p.m., Thursday, July. 24, during a planned maintenance window. Many commonly used cloud-hosted services will be available.
