Business Courier features incoming UC Lindner dean

Marianne Lewis discusses her passion for business in Q&A

Marianne Lewis doesn't officially take the reins of the Carl H. Lindner College of Business until July 1, but the Cincinnati Business Courier wasn't about to wait until then to learn more about the University of Cincinnati's newest dean.

In a May 16 Q&A with the Courier's Andy Brownfield, Lewis discussed her background, the transformation of Cincinnati, her love of travel and her belief that business can be a force for good.

"I think about the way digitalization is changing our world, and people talk about it in doomsday scenarios," said Lewis. "Business has always had that potential just because it is powerful, but you can flip it on the other side and see the potential for conscious capitalism and the idea of how you help business be about social transformation and not just economic transformation."
