McMicken Working Group to continue efforts through this summer
The McMicken Working Group will continue its work through this summer in order to hear additional voices
Significant progress has been achieved by the McMicken Working Group examining the life and legacy of Charles McMicken and the use of his name in affiliation with the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences.
The group is conducting research, reviewing comments submitted via the web portal, and has both attended and held public events. For instance, see video of the group’s April 23 open session for the campus community.
Co-chaired by Louis D. Bilionis, dean emeritus and Droege professor of law, and Janet Reid, founder and CEO of BRBS World, the group will continue to seek a diversity of input and voices as it moves toward the fulfillment of its charge.
At the request of the co-chairs to UC President Neville Pinto, the group will extend its work into the fall term in order to gather as wide a range of viewpoints as possible before finalizing its report and recommendations.
Find more information and provide input by going to the McMicken Working Group web page.
