Opera America Magazine: 'Blind Injustice' among change agents
The world premiere opera ‘Blind Injustice,’ which tells the true stories of six exonerees freed by UC’s Ohio Innocence Project, is spotlighted by Opera America Magazine
“Blind Injustice,” a collaboration between the Ohio Innocence Project at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Cincinnati Opera and the Young Professionals Choral Collective, is featured in the fall 2019 issue of Opera America Magazine. The production, which debuted this summer at Cincinnati Music Hall, features the true stories of six exonerees freed by the work of the OIP. Opera America Magazine spotlights the production’s themes of inequity and black Americans’ struggle for social justice, and quotes the opera’s director, Robin Guarino, an opera professor at UC’s College-Conservatory of Music.
