WVXU: Remembering local leaders Nathaniel Jones and Todd Portune
Verna Williams, University of Cincinnati College of Law dean and Nippert Professor of Law, joined a panel of area professionals and journalists Monday to discuss the life and career of Judge Nathaniel Jones and Todd Portune. Jones, a civil rights leader, advocate and retired federal judge, died Sunday at the age of 93. The College of Law last year rededicated its Center for Race, Gender, and Social Justice in honor of Jones. Portune, one of the longest-serving Democrats in Cincinnati city history, died of cancer Saturday. He was 61.
