Engineering EXPO returns to campus
UC engineering seniors display capstone projects at annual CEAS EXPO on April 8
After five years of hard work and dedication, engineering students at the University of Cincinnati can showcase all they have learned through their capstone projects at the annual College of Engineering and Applied Science EXPO, presented by DRT Holdings, LLC.
This year marks a significant milestone for the showcase. Not only is the signature event returning to campus, but it is the first time that all undergraduate engineering departments are participating.

The event kicks off with the opening ceremony 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at UC's Fifth Third Arena. Throughout the day, students will present capstone projects ranging from aircraft they built, innovative medical devices and groundbreaking research surrounding topics such as water quality and artificial intelligence. Organized by the college's student government, CEAS Tribunal, the EXPO is open to the public and draws hundreds of attendees, including industry professionals, alumni, underclass students and community members.
“The EXPO is vital to the success of CEAS,“ said Rob Cohen, CEO of DRT Holdings, LLC. “It's a showcase for local industry to experience firsthand the creative energy and work that students pour into their projects.“
Engineering students at UC dedicate five years of work in the classroom and in research or industry through the cooperative education (co-op) program. For graduating students, the CEAS EXPO is a chance to demonstrate what they've learned and how they are prepared to take this knowledge into the world.
For the second year in a row, more than 200 groups of students will be presenting at the competition juried by volunteers. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities or volunteering as a judge for the EXPO.
The event is free and open to the public from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. at UC's Fifth Third Arena.
