Hoxworth issues urgent call for blood donors
As the temperature rises, the blood supply falls
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is calling on the Greater Cincinnati community to make a lifesaving blood or platelet donation to help local patients in need during the critical summer months. Hoxworth is calling all donors and needs all blood types and platelets.
“Blood levels are lower than we’d like at this time of year,” said Ashley Smith, Hoxworth's senior public information officer. “We’re urging our community to make a donation appointment now — it’s quick, easy, and lifesaving.”
During the month of July, all donors will receive the limited-edition Cincinnati Reds ringer T-shirt.
In addition to the T-shirt, all NEW donors during the month of July will be entered to win a pair of tickets to a Cincinnati Reds game.
FIVE of the winning donors will receive suite tickets!
Grab a buddy, come out to donate and help us save lives!
