PHOTOS: Celebrating Bearcats at UC Family Weekend
Families, friends and pets were all present for more than 50 activities over 3 days
UC Family Weekend offered a slice of college life for thousands of UC Bearcat siblings, parents and friends.
With more than 50 activities over three days, the event was coordinated by the Office of Parent and Family programs in the Division of Student Affairs and allowed families the opportunity to spend time with their student, experience life at UC and explore the city of Cincinnati.
“My office likes to say UC Family Weekend is the most wonderful time of the year,” explains Dy’Mand Montgomery, assistant director of parent and family programs. “This is our Superbowl and we plan for it all year long.”
A UC photography class led by Sean Hughes, professor of journalism, scoped out many of the weekend’s events to capture fun photos showcasing school spirit and the joy of being a Bearcat. Check out the photos of UC Family Weekend below.

The new grant will provide a pathway to tuition-free college for students of families who make less than $75,000 per year. UC Board votes to fund design for YMCA renovation

At its October 28, 2025 meeting, the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees approved $5 million in funding to complete all design and pre-construction services required to renovate the interior of a former YMCA building located at 270 Calhoun Street.
