The 2020 edition features the work of University of Cincinnati associate professor Maureen France.

France is an associate professor in UC's College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. Her black-and-white photograph "Muscle Men in Cincinnati, Ohio" made the 2020 Portrait of Humanity shortlist.

"This photo was taken at a summer festival on the banks of the Ohio River," France told The Guardian. "They brought in tons of sand to create a “beach” on the Ohio." Read more in The Guardian and CNN.
