WLWT: Colleges in Greater Cincinnati begin incentives to get vaccinated
UC's 'Strength in Immunity' weekly drawings continue through Oct. 4
The University of Cincinnati awarded its first round of prizes in the weekly ‘Strength in Immunity’ drawing. To further encourage vaccination against COVID-19, the university is conducting weekly drawings for gift cards in varying amounts of $2,500 or $5,000. UC faculty member Christina Tan, a lecturer in the College-Conservatory of Music, was one of the first week's winners, as featured by WLWT.
"I also work at a church and the people are older and they're really at high risk and in getting the vaccine there was also to make sure that not only does it protect myself but just to make sure that the people around me are safe," Tan told WLWT.
