University of Cincinnati names 2025 Mr. Bearcat
Spectrum News 1 gives a shout-out to Lindner graduate Evan Phelps
Spectrum News 1 highlighted Evan Phelps, this year’s 2025 Mr. Bearcat, after commencement on May 2.
UC honorary fraternity Sigma Sigma has awarded the title to one graduating man each year who balances academic achievement with student leadership, contributions to UC and the embodiment of “Bearcat Spirit” since 1949. Phelps graduated on May 2 with degrees in business economics and finance after earning the Mr. Bearcat title in April.
Spectrum News 1 details just some of Phelps’ many accomplishments during his time at UC, from his five co-op experiences to multiple executive leadership positions across various student organizations.
“I’m just really grateful for the time I spent here,” Phelps said. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get involved as I did and have so many great mentors and friends.”
