How to Get Started

  • Request Access: Complete the Coursera for Campus form to activate your free account. 
  • Log In: Use the provided link, select “Log In” in the top right-hand corner. Then “Log In with University of Cincinnati,” at the top of the pop up window and sign in with your UC credentials. 
  • Join the Program: Click “Join Program” to access Career Academy Courses. 
  • Start Learning: Browse curated collections or use the search bar to find courses. 

Note: Only Career Academy courses are free for UC students. Click the blue “Enroll” button to begin.

Navigate Your Learning Dashboard

Once logged in, your personalized Coursera dashboard becomes your learning hub: 

  • Top Navigation: Use “Explore” to discover courses, “My Learning” to track progress, and profile settings to customize your experience. 
  • Stay Updated: Check the notification bell for instructor updates, assignment feedback, deadlines, and discussion replies.
  • Track Progress: Your dashboard updates in real-time, showing your course progress at a glance.

Create a Coursera Profile to Share with Recruiters

Your Coursera Skills Profile will help you prepare for the next step in your career by showing employers your certificates, new skills and job-relevant projects. Here’s how to set up a professional Coursera profile: 

  • Access Your Profile: After logging in, click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner, then select “Profile.” 
  • Add Key Details: Include your name, a professional photo, and a brief bio highlighting your career goals or skills. 
  • Showcase Certificates: Completed courses and certificates automatically appear in your profile. Ensure they’re set to “Public” to share with recruiters that work with Coursera to identify pre-qualified candidates. 
  • Share Your Profile: Copy your unique profile URL (found in the profile settings) and add it to your résumé, LinkedIn, or job applications. Alternatively, download certificates as PDFs to share directly. Keep your profile updated with new certificates to demonstrate continuous learning to employers!
